There's no point in claiming it was the golden era of children's TV in the UK, that was whenever each of us was growing up, but in 1970, among a number of great kids' TV shows, was the tip-top Ace of Wands. To put it bluntly, Ace of Wands was about a magician who solved mysteries, righted wrongs and generally helped the good guys against the bad.
Addams Family, The (Live Action)  (USA)  (1960's) 
Supernatural sitcom similar to The Munsters. There were 64 episodes made originally plus a Halloween Special. The 1973-1975 animated series from Hanna-Barbera featured the voice of a young Jodie Foster as Pugsley. In the 1990's two big screen versions were made.

Adaptation of Mark Twain novels. As far as I remember, this was actually an adaptation of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and featured Tom and Huck having adventures and trying to find treasure hidden by the villainous Injun Joe on the banks of the Mississippi.
Adventures Of Parsley, TheAdventures Of Parsley, The (Animation)  (UK)  (1970's) 
"The Adventures of Parsley" was the sequel to "The Herbs" -2 animated BBC tv series for young children set in a magical walled garden.It was a make-believe,surreal world with a mix of human and animal characters,all named after garden herbs like Parsley the Lion,Sir Basil & Lady Rosemary,Dill the Dog
Adventures of Rin Tin Tin (Live Action)  (USA)  (1950's) 
Sole survivors of an Indian attack on an Arizona wagon train, 11 year old Rusty and his German shepherd dog Rin Tin Tin are rescued by the Cavalry and taken back to Fort Apache. There they are unofficially adopted by Lieutenant Rip Masters, made honorary troopers and henceforth assist in action campaigns against the Redskins.

Caught in a tropical storm at sea whilst travelling between Brazil and Africa, a young Englishman, Robinson Crusoe, is shipwrecked on an uncharted island off the coast of South America from which there seems little hope of rescue.
Adventures of Sir Prancelot, The (Animation)  (UK)  (1970's) 
Narrated by Peter Hawkins, this show was all about a brave mediaeval knight called Sir Prancelot, and his adventures during the time of the Crusades.

Spot the yellow, lolloping puppy got up to fun and frolics with his friends in this appealing, animated tv series narrated by Paul Nicholas.

All Change (Live Action)  (UK)  (1990's) 
Two familys have to swap houses to inheret their uncles garden gnome factory. One family were snobby southerners and the others were working class northeners. Frankie Howard played the uncle Bob who turns out to be alive in the end. The series also featured Maggie Steed, Pam Ferris, Tony Haygarth and Peggy Mount. It ran from 1989-1991 in 12 30 minute episodes.

Time to go home ! Why for goodness-sake ? We only just got here ! We had a black-and-white telly at home (and an outside toilet and a tin bath !!) so I was never sure if this was in colour or not ! Anyway, Andy-pandy - in the stripy suit, hung round with Teddy and Looby Loo the ragdoll. Shown on the Tuesday Watch With Mother slot.

Animal KwackersAnimal Kwackers (Live Action)  (UK)  (1970's) 
This preschool children's lunchtime program was shown on I.T.V. around midday from 1975 onwards. It was similar to the Banana Splits in that there were four men inside large costumes with huge animal heads. Each member of the group played a musical instrument and were just a little bit spooky especially Rory the lion who seemed to be the leader of the group.

Animal Magic began in 1962, and featured Johnny Morris as a Zoo Keeper at Bristol Zoo who would make up voices and personalities for each of the animals.

The Midnight Society - or a bunch of kids out camping in the woods every week stoke the camp fire up and tell a scary story. Through the ghostly flames the tale shifts from telling to watching.
Around the World with Willy FoggAround the World with Willy Fogg (Animation)  (Europe) 
1872, Monsiur Jules Verne writes a book about a journey undertaken by a Mr. Phileas Fogg and his manservant Passepartout. 1983 and BRB International, a production company in Spain create a legend. Around the World with Willy Fog. Shown in 1987 by CBBC, hosted by Andy Crane, the show was an instant hit with the "Willy Fog Day" being watched by 35% of all children aged under 18. In 1993, they did it again, Willy Fog 2 based on "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" and "20,000 Leaguies under the Sea".
